The service

Aphelotes provides tools for churches and their members to publish and browse community listings. Features may change over time. We may suspend or end the service with reasonable notice when practical.

Accounts & churches

• You must provide accurate account information and keep access secure.
• Church admins are responsible for their congregation's settings, membership, and moderation decisions.
• You may only use a church's catalog in ways that church's leaders allow.

Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit (listings, services, prayer requests, messages). You grant us a license to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate Aphelotes (including embeds and search where enabled).

You agree not to post content that is:

• Illegal, fraudulent, or misleading
• Harassing, hateful, or sexually exploitative
• Infringing someone else's rights
• Spam, malware, or an attempt to disrupt the service

We and church admins may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms or local church guidelines.

Community interactions

Aphelotes helps people connect; we are not a party to loans, gifts, sales, services, or other arrangements between users. Use good judgment, follow your church's guidance, and handle meetups and exchanges safely.

Subscriptions & payments

Paid plans are billed through Stripe under the pricing shown at checkout. New subscriptions may include a free trial period; after the trial, fees apply unless you cancel. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or as we expressly agree. You are responsible for taxes where applicable.

Disclaimers

Aphelotes is provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, or that listings are accurate or available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Aphelotes and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to Aphelotes is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if you have not paid).

Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of Aphelotes, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent allowed by law.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date will change when we revise them.
